THE SCHOOL BOARD OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA Miami, Florida Excerpts from Unofficial Minutes of July 24, 2002 Budget Public Hearing 102,994 SP-1 ADOPTED The 2002-2003 millage resolution, tentatively, for a total of 9.252 mills. 102,995 SP-2 ADOPTED* The 2002-2003 Annual Budget, tentatively, which consists of the budget approved for advertising on July 10, 2002, as adjusted for recommended changes included in Attachment A, and including any amendments approved by the Board following the public hearing on July 24, 2002; and, approved the School Allocation Plans for K-12 and Adult Centers for 2002-03. · Amended the Superintendent’s proposal by restoring the teacher/pupil allocation ratios to those described on Page A-21 of the 2002-03 Tentative Budget; restoring the full Fine Arts Supplements; and, restoring the CBO’s to full funding. · Amended the Superintendent’s proposal in relation to paraprofessionals to provide that they be funded through the end of the first semester with a decision to be made at that time concerning the continuation of the program during the remainder of fiscal year 2002-2003. · Amended the Superintendent’s proposal to restore the Career Specialists Program to the current level. 102,996 SP-3 APPROVED The policies and procedures and approved the use of District Discretionary Lottery Funds appropriated by the Legislature to fund projects and programs, as delineated in the Official Agenda.
