The School Board publishes complete and summary versions of its meeting agendas. The summary agenda for the next Board meeting is provided below. The complete agenda may be reviewed by visiting the Citizen Information Center in Room 158 of the School Board Administration Building, 1450 NE 2nd Avenue, weekdays between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. 6:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE MOMENT OF SILENT MEDITATION BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA ITEMS SP-1 TENTATIVE ADOPTION OF MILLAGE LEVY RESOLUTION FOR FY2010-11 (revised) RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, authorize the Superintendent to: 1) tentatively adopt the millage rates below: a) locally levied Discretionary Operating millage levy of .698 mills and Capital Outlay millage levy of 1.55 mills. There is no increase in the locally levied millage from the prior year. b) state established and Required Local Effort millage levy of 5.616 mills; and c) Debt Service levy of .385 mills. 2. tentatively adopt the millage resolution for FY2010-11 for a total of 8.249 mills. SP-2 TENTATIVE ADOPTION OF THE FY2010-11 BUDGET RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida: 1. tentatively adopt the FY201 0-11 Annual Budget, which consists of the budget approved for advertising on July 14, 2010, as adjusted for recommended changes included on Attachment A, and including any amendments approved by the Board following the public hearing on July 28, 2010; and 2. approve the FY201 0-11 School Allocation Plan. SP-3 ADOPTION OF POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR USE OF DISTRICT DISCRETIONARY LOTTERY FUNDS RECOMMENDED: That The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, approve the policies and procedures in the agenda item and approve the use of District Discretionary Lottery Funds appropriated by the Legislature to fund the Educational Excellence School Advisory Council.
